SUMMARY:Trailblazer: Stewart L. Udall’s Environmental Leadership and Legacy Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:Stewart Lee Udall played a significant role in the 
 transformation of U.S. conservation and environmental 
 initiatives.\n\nTogether with his brother\, Morris\, Stewart constructed 
 the foundation for numerous environmental initiatives and legislation and 
 creating national historic landmarks\, parks\, and shorelines. \n\nHe also 
 tirelessly worked for integration in local Tucson schools\, the Department 
 of the Interior\, and the National Park Service\, and securing the rights 
 of indigenous people in monumental court cases brought against the U.S. 
 government.\n\nUniversity Libraries Special Collections offers a broad 
 array of Stewart's legacy through selected photographs\, correspondence\, 
 and memorabilia featured in this exhibit. Watch the video to learn more
