SUMMARY:Instructor Maker Bootcamp with CATalyst Studios
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Instructor Maker Bootcamp with CATalyst Studios! 
 \n\nThese five workshops introduce how instructors can partner with 
 CATalyst Studios staff to incorporate hands-on learning and maker-based 
 literacies into a course. Each training highlights a specific tool or craft 
 available at CATalyst Studios\, including examples of existing faculty 
 collaborations\, best practices\, and hands-on training or certification. 
 \n\nYou are not required to attend all five workshops. Feel free to 
 register for whichever days interest you.  \n\nPlease note that\, aside 
 from the zine workshop on March 7th\, participants are expected to bring a 
 laptop and laptop charger. \n\nWorkshop Schedule:\n\n\n	February 21st: 3D 
 Printing \n\n	\n		An introduction to the applications for 3D design and 3D 
 printing\, followed by a 3D printing certification.\n	\n	\n	March 7th: 
 Zines\n	\n		Learn how classes use zines as alternatives for or a supplement 
 to written assignments and make a mini-zine and simple bound 
 booklet.\n	\n	\n	March 21st: Laser cutting\n	\n		Discover how classes use 
 laser engraving to explore history\, art\, and culture\, then get your 
 certification in laser cutting.\n	\n	\n	April 4th: Vinyl 
 cutting\n	\n		Explore how courses use the vinyl cutters at CATalyst to 
 create stickers and silkscreen stencils\, then create customized 
 stickers.\n	\n	\n	April 18th: Podcasting\n	\n		Discuss how podcasting and 
 audio recording can enrich research outputs and learn how to use the 
 podcasting station at CATalyst Studios.\n	\n	\n\n\nPlease contact CATalyst
