Planning and mapping your graduate training

Planning and mapping your graduate training

Congratulations, you got accepted into graduate school! This workshop will help you prepare for success. This is the crash-course to research and organization you won't get anywhere else. Your graduate school experience will, by far, be one of the greatest and hardest endeavors you will ever face in life. Besides intellectual prowess, you will also inherently display endless courage, resiliency, and determination to finish. Without a plan, you might burn out, get riddled with fear, or struggle at one or more points in your training - all threatening to hinder your forward progress. They say, "One important key to success is self-confidence. An important key to self-confidence is preparation". Planning can save you time, improve the quality of your graduate school education and graduate research, and keep you on track for a timely graduation. This workshop will walk you through your graduate training, while along the way, pointing out and aligning requirements to available research services, resources, and tools. You'll also hear about upcoming workshops you don't want to miss. You will leave with an infrastructure in place to begin planning and tracking your graduate work. So, remember to bring a research notebook or another research note taking tool.
