Women in UX: Navigating the Tech Industry as a Woman

Women in UX: Navigating the Tech Industry as a Woman

Gender disparity is a prevalent issue in the tech industry. Women in UX and in tech as a whole face barriers throughout their journey from learning, to entering the field, and once hired. How can we address these issues and work toward creating environments with better representation and inclusion?

Adriana Picoral, Assistant Professor of Data Science at the University of Arizona School of Information, will join us as a special guest to talk about her experience in the industry and share her advice on how to build more inclusivity in tech.

This talk is part of UX@UA's special series on representation and inclusion in the UX and the broader tech industry. The 3-part series is being offered in spring, summer, and fall. Come and hear the talk, meet new friends, and learn what UX@UA has to offer. Join us at 4:30pm to kick things off with opt-in breakout rooms. The presentation will start at 4:45pm.

Newcomers are always welcome, and you don’t need to be part of the University of Arizona to attend.
