What is AI and Why Is it Happening To Me?

This is a gentle introduction to understanding what artificial intelligence is doing, why, and how. This workshop comes with zero expectations regarding prior knowledge of math, computer science, or anything else scary-sounding, and covers the following topics:

  • Discussion of 2 key kinds of AI (generative and machine learning approaches);
  • Foundational concepts required for understanding the big-umbrella of AI;
  • Ways we can assess AI content

This is an in-person training in Weaver Science-Engineering Library room A212 that will run for approximately 90 minutes, with plenty of room for questions. Seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
