Creative Cartography - Beyond Basic Maps
The primary output of any GIS related project is the map. In this workshop you will learn how to create more creative maps that focus on principles of cartography and graphic design. Topics to be covered, related to design, will include typography, color, balance, hierarchy, abstraction, and inclusion of outside graphics to make your map layouts more creative than a default output.
This session will be offered in the Data Studios of the Main Library.
This workshop is an interactive workshop and requires a laptop computer and Esri's ArcGIS Pro software to be loaded before the workshop starts. Please note that Esri products only run on Windows computers.
