Graphic Design Basics For Research Posters

During this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn beginner-friendly design principles for research posters, including color, typography, layout, accessibility, and visual storytelling
  • Analyze real poster examples to understand common design mistakes and effective solutions
  • Practice troubleshooting “bad” mock posters through guided discussion
  • Learn a practical workflow for turning research content into clear, print-ready posters
This workshop is in-person and virtual. Physical location: Main Library, Room B201 - Data Studio CATalyst

No prior design or software experience is required. All knowledge levels are welcome.
