
Woodworking Basics
Have you ever wanted to familiarize yourself with woodworking equipment? Want to feel confident using a variety of hand and power tools? This in-person workshop covers the basics of using our woodshop. After completing this workshop, you will have credentials added to your CATCard that allow you to turn on all woodshop equipment independently.
You will use the drill press, bench sander, hand saws, and nail gun to build a small decorative fish! All materials will be provided. This workshop is free to attend.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and avoid wearing loose fitting or flowy garments.
Long hair must be tied back. Hair ties are available if needed. Safety glasses and ear plugs will be provided.
If you are on the waitlist for this, you're encouraged to still show up at the event start time. If a registrant doesn't show up, you'll be able to fill their spot.
Registrants - we will start offering your spot to waitlisted individuals 5 minutes after the workshop start time. Please be on time to ensure you don't lose your spot.
Anyone more than 10 minutes late, regardless of registration status, will not be able to participate.
