Haven’t heard of Personal Knowledgment Systems (PKM)? Curious about PKM systems, but don’t know where to start? Join us for an engaging workshop exploring the power of Personal Knowledge Management Systems to enhance your academic pursuits and professional endeavors. In an era of information overload, effective organization and retrieval of knowledge is paramount. Designed for beginners, this workshop will delve into the basic principles of PKMs, provide an overview of the most popular applications, and guide participants to select a system that will best serve their needs. From digital note-taking platforms to mind mapping and advanced search techniques, participants will gain practical insights into developing personalized systems that will optimize productivity and long-term knowledge retention. This session will be led by Chelsea Wells, a Master’s Candidate in the School of Information’s Knowledge River Program.
