Web-based Storytelling: Level Up Your StoryMaps

Take your ArcGIS StoryMaps to the next level in Part Two of the Data Cooperative's Web-based Storytelling StoryMap Workshop

 

Description:

This workshop is a continuation of "Web-based Storytelling: An Introduction to ArcGIS StoryMaps." Attendees will learn the basics of ArcGIS Online in order to introduce unique and custom map elements into their StoryMaps. The workshop will also cover advanced StoryMap creation tips and tricks to allow for completing projects at a professional level. Skills presented include combining text with maps, multimedia content, images, videos, and embeds – to communicate information through engaging and user-friendly StoryMaps.

 

Who Should Attend:

This workshop is a continuation of the introduction to ArcGIS StoryMaps workshop, covering ArcGIS online and advanced StoryMap tips. No GIS experience is required, but basic familiarity with StoryMaps is necessary. Anyone who did not attend the first workshop but already has experience working with StoryMaps is also welcome to attend.

 

Technical requirements:

This is a virtual workshop. All hands-on work will be web browser-based.

The Data Cooperative is Library-based hub of data support services and resources for the UA faculty, staff, and student community. We aim to help individuals build capacity and foster interdisciplinary connections to solve research problems relating to data management, data science, visualization, and geospatial applications.
