Python Programming: Reading, Understanding, and Modifying Code - Part One
This two-session workshop introduces absolute beginners to Python programming with a focus on reading, understanding, and modifying Python code. In this first session, participants will learn the logic of Python, core syntax, and basic data structures. In the second session, participants will work through a hands-on Python workflow, walking step by step through a metadata analysis process including data cleaning, wrangling, and visualization. Throughout both sessions, participants will practice adapting scripts for their own projects with AI support. No prior coding experience is required.
This workshop will be held fully online. Zoom access information will be provided in the registration confirmation email.
Tools: Google Colab; participants may use any AI tool they are comfortable with.
