Introduction to Data Visualization in Python

Whether it's for a course project, a thesis, or for an article submitted for publication, understanding how to communicate our findings visually is critically important. In this workshop, we'll introduce three different plotting libraries using the Python programming language: matplotlib, seaborn, and plotnine. This workshop is geared toward complete beginners who have minimal-to-no experience programming in Python, but may also be of interest to other learners who want to explore visualization in Python a bit more.

This session will be offered in the Data Studios of the Main Library.

To get the most out of this workshop, participants should bring a laptop. The workshop can be completed online using Google Colab, but participants can optionally have Python installed locally.
