3D Printing Authorization

This workshop covers the fundamentals of 3D printing on our Prusa 3D printers, including basic machine operation, correct filament use, and machine-specific troubleshooting. You'll design and print a CATalyst keychain pendant during the session. Upon completion, you will be able to independently operate our 3D printers.

Before attending, you must complete the following prerequisites:

1. Download the latest PrusaSlicer software at Prusa Knowledge Base.
2. Register for the CATalyst Studios D2L course at d2l.arizona.edu.
3. Watch the orientation video and sign the user agreement (found in the Orientation module). The 3D printing module will not appear until both are completed.
4. Complete the 3D printing tutorial and take the 3D printing quiz within the module. A score of 100% is required; multiple attempts are allowed.
5. Download the certification coin file and prepare it for printing.

Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own laptop (no tablets). Your device must have a USB port for file transfer. Please note: if prerequisites have not been completed upon arrival, your registration will be cancelled. Facilitators reserve the right to cancel your registration if you are more than 5 minutes late.
