UA Women's Hackathon : E-Textiles Workshop
This workshop will cover the basics of e-textiles, including sewing with conductive thread to create an LED circuit that will make a plushy "Maggie bot" light up.
CATalyst Studios will provide attendees with a Glowing Maggie Bot project kit. Project kits can be picked up at the UA Main Library during open hours (Sunday through Thursday, 10am-2pm). Users will learn how a circuit works and use their knowledge to create their circuit using conductive thread. Those in attendance will be able to ask questions about the kit and share your creations with the community.
